Andrew Smith, D.D.S. is a graduate of Marquette University School of Dentistry and works in private practice in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In his words, “I got introduced to Casa Colibrà through a friend who had participated on a previous medical trip. I did not know what I was getting involved with initially, but I am truly glad that I took the risk and joined the group.” Upon his first visit, he was struck by the stark absence of basic services to which we have easy access here in the USA. He adds, “As a dentist, I would like to see more education delivered to the people about oral hygiene and preventative dentistry. In the future, perhaps we can perform restorative dentistry and even oral surgery.”
